OUR HISTORY

Founded in Wabash, Indiana, Quality Electric, Inc. has built its reputation on providing dependable, high-quality electrical services backed by honesty, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer care. Jack Porter started a contracting electrical business in the 50s and called it Courtesy Electric. In 1961 four of Jack's employees purchased the business from him and called it Quality Electric. Larry Hoover joined Quality Electric as a part time employee in 1964. In 1971 he bought out one of the four stockholders and six years later he became the sole owner. He then expanded the services to include plumbing and HVAC. 

What began as a local electrical contracting company has grown into a trusted name throughout Northeast Indiana by consistently delivering reliable service for homeowners, businesses, farms, and industrial customers.

As the needs of the community evolved, so did Quality Electric. The company expanded its expertise to include heating, air conditioning, and plumbing, allowing customers to rely on one trusted team for all of their home's essential mechanical systems. Today, operating as Quality Electric, HVAC, & Plumbing, the company continues to uphold the same values it was founded on—quality workmanship, fair pricing, and treating every customer like family.
